What does your skin say about your age?

How do your skin care habits and lifestyle age your skin? Good skin care begins by taking good care of you. How do I do that? By staying healthy and making good nutrition choices. Drink plenty of water (at least 6 glasses per day) to keep your skin well hydrated. Avoid stress as much as you can, both emotional and environmental. Get plenty of sleep. Cleanse your skin twice daily. Avoid smoking. Protect yourself from the sun -- use sunscreen and avoid direct sunlight between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Did you know that year-round sun protection is important? Did you know that temperature is not a good indication of how damaging the sun is at any given time? The most important thing you can do for your skin is to be diligent about sun protection -- it's your best defense against skin cancer. Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer, but it's also the most preventable. The Skin Cancer Foundation grants its Seal of Recommendation to products that meet the Foundation’s criteria for effective UV sun protection products. Obagi Nu-Derm Healthy Skin Protection SPF 35 and Obagi CRx System C-Sunguard SPF 30 are both included on the list of products that have the seal of approval.

What does your skin say about your age? If you are not happy with your skin’s appearance, make an appointment with one of our skin care specialists to design an Obagi skin care program that is precisely for you.
