Liposuction (Liposculpture)
Conveniently located to serve Hopkinsville and Christian County
Dr. Mitchell Kaye understands that your goal is to have a tight, toned, and fit body. For some men, even diligent exercise and a healthy diet cannot make a heavy neck, a roll of fat around the middle, or larger than ideal breasts go away. In these cases, our plastic surgeon may recommend liposuction to eliminate the excess fat in these areas.
Liposuction can be a great method for targeting a specific area that you would like to improve, allowing you to dramatically alter the shape of your body and boost your self-esteem. With liposuction, Dr. Mitchell Kaye can remove excess fat to reshape your body and enhance your contours.

Is Liposuction right for me?
Liposuction is one of the most popular procedures we offer, and it is a favorite for both men and women. If you are considering liposuction, ask yourself the following questions:
• Do you have stubborn areas of fat, such as on your chest, love handles, or abdomen, that seem unresponsive to strict diet and exercise regimens?
• Do you have one or two areas of your body that seem to be out of proportion to the rest of your body?
• Would you like to enhance your body contours?
• Are you in good health?
• Can you define your desired result, or do you know what you want to look like after the procedure?
If you answered, “yes,” to one or more of these questions, liposuction may be a good option for you. We encourage you to contact us today to learn more and to set up your consultation at our office.
What will I learn during my consultation with Dr. Mitchell Kaye?
How is Liposuction Done?
Liposuction is performed as an outpatient procedure under sedation, and the area is thoroughly numbed. Liposuction is typically completed under total intravenous anesthesia with tumescent infiltration to ensure your safety and comfort. During the procedure, our experienced plastic surgeon uses a tube called a cannula that is attached to a suction system to remove fat from the body. Depending on your procedure, liposuction may take 1-2 hours. You will be discharged home following the procedure, and we will call you that evening to check on you. You will also visit with Dr. Mitchell Kaye on the day following the procedure.
If you are one of our patients who travel a long distance to have your procedure with us, we recommend staying overnight in a local hotel. This avoids long car rides following the surgery. We have arranged special discounted rates with local hotels; please feel free to contact our Patient Care Coordinator for more information.
In his experience, Dr. Mitchell Kaye has found that other technologies like water, laser, or ultrasound assisted liposuction do not improve the result but do increase the complexity and cost of the procedure.
