Is lipoabdominoplasty right for me?
Lipoabdominoplasty has a number of advantages over liposuction or abdominoplasty alone. As you consider whether lipoabdominoplasty is the right choice for you, ask yourself the following questions:
- Do you have excess fat or skin in the abdominal area that you would like to remove?
- Do you have loose skin in the abdomen following pregnancy or weight loss?
- Do you struggle with areas of fat that seem unresponsive to strict diet and exercise regimens?
- Would you like to achieve a flatter, tighter tummy?
- Can you define your desired result? In other words, do you know what you want to look like after the procedure?
- Are you in good health?
If your answer to one or more of these questions is, “yes,” then you may be a good candidate for lipoabdominoplasty.
What will I learn during my consultation with Dr. Mitchell Kaye at the Advanced Cosmetic Surgery Center of Kentucky?
How is lipoabdominoplasty done?
Our plastic surgeon performs lipoabdominoplasty as an outpatient service in his IMQ accredited outpatient surgery center. The procedure is performed under total intravenous anesthesia to ensure your comfort and safety. During lipoabdominoplasty, Dr. Mitchell Kaye performs liposuction on the abdominal area, repairs muscles as needed, and removes any loose, excess skin.
After your procedure, you will be discharged home. You can expect a follow-up call on the evening of surgery, as well as an office visit with Dr. Mitchell Kaye on the day after surgery. If you are one of our many patients who travel significant distances to have your procedure with us, we recommend staying overnight in a local hotel to avoid long car rides after the surgery. We have special discounted rates with local hotels, and our Patient Care Coordinator will be able to provide you with the information you need.
