Obagi Nu-Derm®

What is it?

The Obagi Nu-Derm® System is a non-surgical skin care option to treat unwanted signs of aging. As you age, you may notice signs of aging in your skin, such as fine lines and wrinkles, sun and age spots, uneven skin tone, loss of elasticity and firmness, and loss of natural skin hydration.
The good news is that these can all be improved or reversed. The Obagi Nu-Derm® System can transform your skin so that the skin looks and acts younger and healthier.

What does it treat?

Nu-Derm is ideal if you have:
o Age spots
o Rough skin
o Erythema (redness)
o Sallowness (yellowish complexion)
o Hyperpigmentation (discoloration)

How do I know which skin type I have?

There are 2 Obagi Nu-Derm options that cover a wide variety of skin types. When you visit our office for your skin care consultation our Obagi Skin Care Specialist and Dr. Kaye will assess your skin type and let you know if the Normal to Dry system or Normal to Oily system is recommended.

What products are in the system?

o Gentle Cleanser – Gently removes makeup and everyday impurities for a clean, fresh complexion.

o Toner – Non-drying toner helps adjust the pH of your skin.

o Clear – Effective prescription-strength hydroquinone helps treat the appearance of age and sun spots for a healthier, more even skin tone.

o Exfoderm – A lightweight lotion that helps exfoliate the top layer of the skin, removing dull, old skin cells, while revealing new skin cells for a brighter complexion.

o Blender – A unique formula containing prescription-strength hydroquinone for the gradual lightening of sun spots, age spots, and other types of discoloration.

o Obagi Hydrate – A moisturizing cream to be used as needed to soothe areas of dry, flaky skin.

o Sun Shield Matte Broad Spectrum SPF 50 – A sunscreen that combines UVA and UVB protection in an elegant matte finish that is non-comedogenic, allergy tested, and dermatologist tested. Sheer, PABA-free, and fragrance-free for all skin types.

What is it?
